Week 1

1 week of loving you Remi girl.

Holy moly. My heart.

I have no words.

I cannot believe this is real and that you are mine.

I prayed so hard for you, for your health and for this moment.

I have never been so scared in my life and felt so unequipped but I promise you baby girl, I am going to be the best mommy in the world for you. I am going to be the best me I can be and drive to get better every day for you.

You deserve the best.

I don’t even know how to describe it but looking at you, I can see your sweet soul. I can see your kindness, your joy, and your love. You are the greatest gift god has ever given me and I feel so blessed and honored to be your mommy.

We stayed in the hospital for a few days while mommy healed from her c section. It was so interesting being in the hospital. Mommy was hooked up to an IV and blood pressure monitor so I couldn’t get up much. Daddy brought you to me every time you needed to feed. You are obsessed with daddy and just stare into his eyes the little bit you are awake.

You are so itty bitty I can’t get enough of you.

We couldn’t wait to get you home to start our new lives together.

Shooter loves you so much already and wants to know where you are constantly.

Grandma and Grandpa came to meet you this week and to take care of mommy. Actually, all of your grandparents came over to meet you this week. Gail, Ken, Karen, Great Great Grandma Brown, Patti, David, Robyn.. they all love you so much. It was so special watching them stare at you in awe.

This first week mommy has been healing a lot.

It hurts to walk and get out of bed but oh my goodness it is so easy to push through for anything you need. Thankfully I have daddy who does everything for us. He cooks and cleans and brings mommy water to stay hydrated.

He’s super dad!

We are both so in love with you Remi girl.

I am so excited for this life with you.
